The role: Materials and Supply Chain Program Manager
As a Materials/Supply Chain Program Manager supporting the Network Deployment team, you will be enabling a responsive and predictable supply chain supporting one of the largest and most complex private data networks in the world. You will be using your experience to drive both process and operational improvements in multiple facets of the supply chain: forecasting, planning, procurement, delivery, reverse logistics. You will help the networking material supply chain by understanding the unique needs of the deployment team, and then defining best practices to meet these requirements. You will also need to effectively work across multiple cross-functional teams to implement these changes.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and project manage multiple supply chain improvement projects simultaneously, some on a global scale and impacting multiple functional stakeholders
- Own operational management of material planning to ensure supply is available and fulfilled according to committed schedules
- Create spreadsheet/database tools to manage materials execution processes - work closely with IT/Tools team to drive systemic solutions.
- Identify and quickly solve supply chain gaps and inefficiencies. Clearly document process solutions and requirements. Define and manage clear business metrics and goals for managing supply chain performance.
- Manage external parties - third party logistics providers, component suppliers, etc to drive costs and process improvements
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7 years of supply chain experience across multiple disciplines, ideally in related technical/networking fields.
- Excellent organizational skills and project management capabilities - able to manage project plans, timelines, costs effectively.
- High spreadsheet/database capabilities - able to create models and maneuver within spreadsheets/databases to manage supply chain processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance and flexible to be able to tackle a wide variety of projects.
