Established company in the Lehigh Valley is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor. This is a long term indefinite position.
Pay will be commensurate with experience. Excellent opportunity to work for a well organized company.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years warehousing and logistic management experience
• Supervisory experience within a warehouse operation
• BA/BS degree in Business administration preferred

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE
• Ability to perform tasks on a computerized inventory control system
• Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations within an logistics environment
• Ability to develop effective relationships and provide strong leadership and direction

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Responsible for scheduling all warehouse personnel in order to ensure that the needs of all customers are met.
•Responsible for planning and directing all resource within the warehouse.
•Communicate and monitor performance of inbound and outbound carriers.
•Act as a liaison between the Hub and its customers.
•Ensure customer delivery requirements can be met within the normal transportation routines.
•Advise customers of deviations that impact scheduled delivery requirements.
•Report carrier performance deviations.
•Develop and improve processes directly related to the flow of inbound and outbound goods.
•Interact with manager and peers to apply sound communication and motivational techniques.
•Responsible for providing accurate information necessary to compute KPI's.
•Develop, implement and monitor all programs related to the safety of all warehouse personnel, equipment and property.
•Make sure that the procedures in our quality system are followed.
•Make sure the improvement of the quality system is continuously enhanced.
•Ensure employees operate in a safe manner and follow safety procedures.
•Responsible for providing proper documentation for invoicing and assist in coding of invoices.
•Assist in training new personnel on processes and procedures.
•Responsible for handling performance issues and performance reviews for staff

AUTHORITY:
•Participate in the hiring process of full-time employees with Operations Manager
•Manage terminations of staff along with the HR Business Partner.
•Discuss performance issues with staff promptly.
•Arrange requested transports to support daily customer requirements.
•Negotiate and document ad hoc truckload rates.
•Contact carriers to obtain transport information and give specific instructions.
•Implement inbound and outbound goods process changes in an effort to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
•Implement solutions as required by the Quality/Environmental system.
•Initiate shift communication sessions as needed.
