We are seeking a Materials Handling Manager for our Texas Facility.
Responsibilities Include:
- Work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives, as well as an understanding of company "politics."
- Implement or assist in the development of strategic policies.
- Review methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results through lean processes, six sigma tools, 5S, visual management, standardized work, etc.
- Establish, monitor and assure adherence to budgets.
- Analyze costs, schedules, work plans and performance requirements.
- Assist with development of organization related to policies, practices and attainment of operating goals.
- Manage the operation activities of a variety of departments.
- Review and analyze reports, records and directives and confers with managers/supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress and problems encountered.
- Assign or delegate responsibility for specified work or functional activities and disseminates policy to supervisors.
- Resolve problems, prepare schedules and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.
- Coordinate activities of the department with related activities of other departments to ensure efficiency and economy.
US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 years experience years in a supervisor or management role
- 6 years of PL (Profit Loss) and cost control experience.
- 6 years experience in distribution or warehouse environment
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets
- Team and Issues Management experience
- Experience mentoring and coaching employees
- Successful verbal presentation
- Ability to make sound business decisions
- Microsoft Office proficiency
