Summary of Position:
Lead the materials organization by developing and managing the materials procurement, planning, scheduling, and shipping to support the flow of product through the factory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing all material activities to ensure internal and customer on-time delivery expectations are met.
- Implement robust planning and scheduling processes and procedure in the machine shop, electro-mechanical assembly and electrical assembly areas.
- Actively support and implement LEAN principles in the materials process.
- Maintenance and accuracy of data in MRP/ERP system.
- Manage activities related to forecasted and tactical purchasing and material requirements.
- Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns and reduce waste.
- Support internal and external audit requirements relative to the planning, procurement or inventory control functions.
- Provide professional development for all materials team members. Explain and support company policies and procedures, complete performance reviews, develop key objectives and maintain accountability within the team.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge and experience in planning and forecasting tools (MRP/ERP/CRM)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Electronics procurement experience.
- Aerospace industry experience.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and/or AS9100.
Required Experience:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree required.
- 5+ years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
- APICS certified preferred
