We are seeking a Materials Manager . The successful candidate for this position would reside at this location. Primary Duties: * Manage the day-to-day material operations, including production planning, production scheduling, Tier II community, shipping and receiving, purchasing and MRO. * Interacts with customers to ensure timely delivery of material. * Develops implements and maintains policies, procedures and material control system. * Interfaces with accounting on all inventory planning issues. * Selects, evaluates and develops personnel. * Develop a partnership relationship with represented workforce. * Compliance to Company EMS Policy. * Performs related duties as required. Position Purpose and Requirements: Oversees activities related to the purchase of material, material control, inventory control, shipping/receiving and stores functions. Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems. Ensures materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels. Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering. Reviews and plans requirements for purchasing materials. May prepare material requirement plans using enterprise resource planning systems. May assist with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities. Bachelor's Degree Or At least 8 years experience in one or more of the following Materials Management functions: Materials Purchasing, Materials Control, Inventory Control, Shipping /Receiving, Stores At least 6 years experience in one or more of the following Materials Management functions: Materials Purchasing, Materials Control, Inventory Control, Shipping/Receiving, Stores, including supervisory or management experience Additional Requirements: Desired Skills: * Positive Attitude, Ethics and Navistar Values which support our Company s values and a healthy, high performance culture * APICS Certification desirable. * Ability to manage conflict in tense situations. * Demonstrated ability to develop direct reports and motivate others. * ERP system experience preferred. * Excellent written and oral communication skills Competencies: * Navistar's Positive Attitude * Background * Dealing with Ambiguity * Confronting Direct Reports * Timely Decision Making * Directing Others * Ethics and Navistar"s Values * Functional/Technical Skills * Organizational Agility * Problem Solving * Process Management Visit us at www.Navistar.com to discover more about our organization.
