Position Description:
Reports To: Director of Operations
Supervisory Responsibilities: Inventory Control, Planners, Customer Analysts
Essential Responsibilities:
- Administer direct supervisory responsibilities for materials personnel including selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations, promotional recommendations and work scheduling.
- Assure high level of data and transactional integrity in the MRP system in order to achieve high levels of inventory accuracy.
- Assure near perfect levels of customer service.
- Lead the development of production plans.
- Oversee all production materials planning cycles and transactions in order to achieve appropriate levels of inventory.
- Minimize freight and premium freight services through the proper planning processes.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques as related to material handling and control.
- Coordinate product changes and inventory levels to assure minimal obsolescence.
- Completes other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, management or related technical field.
- 5 or more years related original equipment manufacturing (OEM) experience in a high-volume, repetitive manufacturing environment.
- Must have a demonstrated high proficiency in current corporate package of software applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, and SAP, etc. preferred.
