Kaplan College in Columbus is currently searching for an adjunct Mathematics Instructor to add to our dynamic team. You will prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for entry-level positions.
What you will do:
* Provide students with a complete syllabus containing course objectives
* Present enthusiastic, well prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus
* Exercise firm, fair and consistent class control
* Begin and end class/lab on time and facilitate the effective use of class time
* Maintain consistent performance when dealing with all students with respect to grading, documentation, policies, and discipline
* Provide students with timely information and feedback on their academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework and projects
* Assist students in their quest for a career
* Regularly participate in professional growth activities and provide documentation of these activities
Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree in Mathematics or a comparable degree in a related field with appropriate academic coursework and preparation in the subject
* 3 years of professional experience
* Prior teaching experience preferred, but not required
* Must be organized, detail oriented
* Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
* Must possess the ability to interact effectively and professionally with students, parents, staff and faculty
