The Mathematical Modeling Intern will focus on a project that will involve analysis and modeling of production and assay methods for vaccines. Responsibilities may include the following: Determining the sources of variability for assays and suggesting ways to improve them Working on agent-based and differential-equation models of cell culture, and suggesting ways to maximize yield This position may be located in West Point, PA or Rahway, NJ. Qualifications Education: MS Degree required Working towards a degree in mathematics or another relevant science or engineering discipline (for example physics, bioengineering, chemical engineering, or biology). Required: Strong quantitative background Available full-time June 2012 for a period of 10-12 weeks Preferred: Experience with differential equation models, agent-based models, and/or data mining Experience with R and/or Matlab Our employees are the key to our company's success.
