About the Role and Responsibilities

About the Role:

The Project Manager, Global PDM/Pricing role will work with multiple cross functional teams to provide pricing analytics, price book generation and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Line management of project managers
- Development of program work plans and estimates within the engineering process
- Development and maintenance of the program plan
- Delivery of the program within the defined scope and timescales
- Frequent, concise communications to senior management, relating to program progress and issues
- Manage, control and monitor risks and issues
- Facilitates and chairs a program briefing session to ensure all parties are aware of all relevant information prior to the program commencing
- Ensures that all resources joining the program after kick off are fully briefed, and know what is expected of them
- Monitors, tracks, and is held accountable for a programs timely progress, quality of deliverables and quality assurance
- Overall management of the deliverables for the team members
- Initiates action to identify and resolve program problems/issues and on mitigating steps and actions taken to ensure timely deliverables, program success and quality
- Assigns work to program team; develops team behaviours and operating rules; mentors, guides, and empowers team members in planning and executing the work and in accordance with Engineering's policies and practices
- Provide change control and is responsible for change request negotiations and sign off

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills Education:

- Proven experience in line management
- Proven experience as a full-time program manager in a software development environment
- Proven technical capability / experience working within a software development environment
- You will have a strong willingness for hands on program management
- Experienced in the management of third party relationships
- Experienced in conflict resolution
- Strong team building skills and able to develop relationships with both Engineering management
- Excellent presentation and communications skills both written and verbal.
- Timely and decisive decision-making skills
- Outstanding time management skills
- Ability to be creative and innovative
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Flexible and easily adapts to change
- Positive attitude and professional approach
- Willingness to learn
- Appreciation and understanding of software development methodologies e.g. agile preferred
- Computer degree or equivalent experience preferred
