The Electronic Trading Development group delivers state of the art trading systems for all global high-frequency trading business units. These systems include all components of the trading system stack, from the electronic trading engines to customer order processing systems to inbound and outbound market data systems.

We provide flexible systems that support markets across different asset classes and different market structures across those classes. Combining flexible design and software methodology, the team provides fast implementation of new business ideas and regulatory mandates.

As a leader in electronic trading, this group also delivers scalable, high throughput, low latency systems. We look to implement the most sophisticated trading system environments while retaining the speed and performance required by modern trading systems.

Key Responsibilities

*Manage global trading system development team (200+ people) to deliver the products and solutions against agreed-to specifications, on time, on budget, with world class quality in accordance with the agreed specifications, times and budgets.

*Help team implement global processes and tools in order to enhance and best practices and ensure they are adhered to within the dev group. Contribute to improving the process and tools baseline.

*Inspire, mentor and motivate the system development leads by providing leadership support and coaching.

*Maintain workload plans, optimize resource utilization and allocation and maintain the department’s budget and cost control and associated reporting.

*Work closely with the business lines (cash and derivatives) in US and the others IT teams in Europe and the US to deliver Best-in-Class technology solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

*B.S/MS in information systems, software engineering, computer science.

*Expertise in different programming languages (C, C++), systems development concepts (multithreading, network programming, inter process communication, etc.).

*Expert in high performance platform, low latency system, expertise in software design process.

*Exceptional people management and leadership skills demonstrated over 5 years of formal experience in software team management, with a track record of growing senior-level talent.

*Aptitude to develop rapidly a good understanding of the trading exchanges business environment and associated IT solutions.

*Ability to drive technical decisions, solve tough problems and organize multiple projects executing concurrently.

*Strong judgment, problem resolution, team building, negotiation, budgeting, decision-making skills, and ability to work under continual deadline pressure required.

*Excellent written and verbal skills.

*Fluent in spoken and written English.

*Track record delivering large, complex software systems on time and on budget. Involvement and understanding of the full software lifecycle

*Track record of building strong development teams with positive and productive cross-group relationships in a multicultural environment.
