Measurement Coordinator Job in Mont Belvieu 77580, Texas US

Targa Resources (Targa) is a leading provider of midstream natural gas and NGL services in the United States. We own and operate approximately 12,090 miles of natural gas and NGL pipelines, with natural gas gathering systems covering approximately 14,400 square miles and 21 natural gas processing plants located primarily in the Permian Basin, Texas, New Mexico and Louisiana regions. Targa is currently seeking a Measurement Coordinator for their facility located in Mt. Belvieu, TX.

Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for processing, analyzing, and reporting daily LPG/NGL truck, pipeline and rail car movements
• Prepares and analyzes daily and monthly product balances for the facility and associated pipelines
• Coordinates with Distribution to ensure proper billing to customers
• Interfaces daily with customers and suppliers to exchange movement information and troubleshoot product imbalances
• Works closely with the Measurement Technicians to troubleshoot product imbalances
• Prepares various ad-hoc reports including providing data for regulatory reporting
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required to complete daily tasks

Minimum Essential Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Posses and maintain a valid driver license.
• Minimum 1 year work experience in administration or accounting.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and able to respond to call outs
• Must have strong interpersonal skills in order to interact with internal and external customers
• Must pay close attention to detail to provide accurate information in a timely manner
• Must remain focused when facing distractions and quickly analyze data to take the appropriate actions
• Must commit and follow through on work to assure tasks are completed
• Must be able to interface with personal computers, interact with business applications, and have a working knowledge of common office programs (MS Word, Outlook, Access, MS Excel)
• Must be able to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks while still meeting deadlines
• Must be able to adapt and learn new technology and work processes
• Must be able to work in an open office environment
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to view personal computer screen for long periods of time
• Must be able to operate common office equipment including but not limited to fax machines, phones, copiers, and scanners
• Must be able to travel occasionally to attend meetings at other local sites and the corporate office

Preferred Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in liquid petroleum accounting experience or college experience
• Experience working in a team environment, self starter, and ability to work with peers in collaborative efforts
• Knowledge of requirements to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
