Locations:

St, Louis and Pittsburg - 3
Will provide services that will range in scope from performing installations to commissioning, trouble-shooting, and calibration of GE Sensing hardware and software products at GE and customer locations. The position requires 70 percent travel and must have previous experience performing field service repairs, maintenance, and installations of electronic sensing, metering, and analyzers. Experience in Hydrocarbons a big plus, but experience in other process-oriented industries, i.e. mining, semi-conductor, food processing, etc, is acceptable.. Products include ultrasonic flowmeters, moisture oxygen analyzers, pressure controllers / calibrators, and temperature instruments. You must have prior experience training and instructing customers on equipment operation and maintenance. You must have a current drivers license with a good driving record, be able to pass a drug test and background check, and be a US citizen or green card holder able to work for any employer in the US.

Essential Responsibilities

*Provide customers with technical direction, and/or project management
*Provide on-site customer training on GE Sensing products with the use of PowerPoint presentations and hands-on applications
*Identify problems and take the initiative to eliminate those problems
*Able to travel extensively and work significant over-time
*Timely completion of standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements
*Responsible for driving customer satisfaction from commitment through quality.
*Support the business growth initiatives
*Make decisions based on business impact and technical data
*Assure site work is executed in accordance with the cost allocations that are budgeted, including direct cost and labor hour management
*Monitor site safety during work scope execution

Qualifications/Requirements

*Associates degree in Electronics (AAS, BSEE), Mechanics (AAS, BSME) or Industrial Engineering (AS, BSIE), OR minimum 3 year military experience as determined by the Area Service Manager
*Must have experience installing, calibrating, troubleshooting and startup of process measurement instrumentation
*Proven Electro-Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
*Minimum 2 years in field service or electronics / electro-mechanical field
*Minimum 1 year Off shore and international travel experience a big plus
*Minimum 1 year Hydrocarbon processing industry experience a big plus
*Minimum 1 year experience instructing and teaching classes to customers

Requirements:

*Possess a valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport)
*Ability and availability to travel overnight: Approximately 70 percent. In Front of Customer: 80 percent
*Ability and availability to perform offshore work mandatory, some international travel possible
*Able to work in Petrochemical industry safely
