Targa Resources (Targa) is a leading provider of midstream natural gas and NGL services in the United States. We own and operate approximately 12,090 miles of natural gas and NGL pipelines, with natural gas gathering systems covering approximately 14,400 square miles and 21 natural gas processing plants located primarily in the Permian Basin, Texas, New Mexico and Louisiana regions. Targa is currently seeking a Measurement Technician for their facility located in Mt. Belvieu, TX.

Job Responsibilities
• Installation, maintenance and calibration of turbine, coriolis, ultrasonic, and orifice meters
• Installation, maintenance and calibration of densitometers
• Installation, maintenance and operation of provers
• Installation, maintenance and calibration of pressure, temperature and other transmitters used for measurement
• Recognize malfunctions in individual equipment and perform maintenance as necessary to correct problems
• Interface with measurement control system
• Installation, and maintenance of various brands of flow computers
• Monitor process variables and conditions to ascertain the current state of the operated process.
• Monitor and recognize dangerous and/or emergency conditions within the process and perform procedures necessary to remove the condition or shutdown the process/facility in order to protect personnel, community, environment and equipment.
• Work with coworkers in the response to emergency situations requiring coordination, equipment or plant shutdown, and/or evacuation.
• Recognize malfunctions in individual equipment and perform maintenance as necessary to correct problems.
• Operate and perform activities in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.
• Write repair work requests for routine and major maintenance that cannot be handled as part of normal operations using a CMMS (MAXIMO).
• Utilize proper Lockout/Tag out operating and safety procedures

Minimum Essential Qualifications
• Two year associates degree in instrumentation or equivalent training/experience.
• Ability to monitor and analyze measurement data and the ability to react to this data
• High school diploma or GED.
• Possess and maintatin a valid driver license.
• Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors; able to work in a self-directed work team.
• Must be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office software modules, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and others
• Must work with a minimum of supervision and be able to manage their time when given multiple tasks.
• Must be proficient in the use, and troubleshooting of PCs and PC software
• Must be a self-starter and be able to prioritize work based on business needs
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and able to respond to call outs

Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds
• Ability to work in changing climate conditions and a plant environment
• Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
• Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex).
• The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Preferred Qualifications
• Five years expierience in pertochehmical industry
• Two years plus working with petroleum measurement
• Experience working in a team environment, self starter, and ability to work with peers in collaborative efforts.
• Familiarity working with software including WonderWare and Excel
• Basic understanding of WANs and LANs
• Ability to diagnose, repair, and deploy PCs and Servers
