Walking Floor Trailer Mechanic
We are seeking an experienced mechanic with a good understanding of mechanical, electrical, welding, fabricating and hydraulic systems. This individual will; organize Trailer maintenance and repair activities, perform PM’S, review daily VCR reports, prepare trailers for BIT and DOT inspections, repair and/or replace tires, repair and replace tarps, repair King Pins, Aluminum and steel welding/fabricating on trailers, torching and the use of a plasma cutter, post floors, beams, and ensure timely and efficient repairs. Individual will assist supervisors with fleet performance issues, ensuring high productivity and quality. The ability to be organized and communicate with vendors, manufacturers is required. Mechanic will be working with tig welding, mig welding, ark welding and hydraulic pumps.
Must have a minimum of 2 years maintenance experience, good communication skills and some computer skills. Must possess own tools and a Class A California License. Previous experience on walking floor trailers is desired. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
