Mechanic

We have an immediate opening for a 3 rd shift Mechanic in our Freehold manufacturing facility.
 
Responsibilities include:
 
·         Demonstrate technical competence in both electrical and mechanical fields
·         Able to diagnose and resolve technical process issues at a "B" mechanics level of competence
·         Refer all questionable conditions to Supervisor or other appropriate person
·         Promote a safe environment and follow safe work processes/procedures. Report all near misses or any unsafe acts to the shift supervisor or HSE Manager
·         Follow Standard Work Procedures
·         Coordinate Standard Work changes with other shifts
·         Maintain work areas and tools according to the plant's Visual Management and 5S Standards.
·         Facilitate a continuous improvement culture by instilling Plan, Do, Check, Act, and root cause corrective action methodology to eliminate waste.
·         Support the implementation of continuous improvement actions (Kaizen); participate in Kaizen process and share knowledge
·         Participate in root cause analysis
·         Drive safe operation, set-up (including SMED), repair, preventive maintenance (including TPM), and the regulation of machine cycles, to meet production metrics.
·         Assist employees to maintain required production, complete repairs, preventive maintenance and changeovers, as necessary
·         Demonstrate ability to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence
 

Basic Qualifications:
·         High school diploma/GED
·         5 years experience in a high speed, automated manufacturing environment
 
Additional Qualifications:
·         Excellent troubleshooting skills
