Job Description Job Classification: Contract - Troubleshoot and repair all types of heavy construction equipment, operates equipment to diagnose problems, and inspects equipment for defects. Maintenance on equipment that is used in wind farm construction including cranes, large trucks, backhoes, etc. - 6 month contract to hire. - Will be working on 6-9 month projects all over the USA. - Have to be OK with traveling all the time. - Will be the only Mechanic on the wind farm site at time. Will report to the site manager and the regional equipment manager. Will have an "oiler" or more or less an assistant to do all of the basic grunt work for them. - Order parts and properly completes part requisition forms. - Writes thorough repair summaries. - Train in personnel as needed. - Will be a job offer pending a phone interview with the site manager and/or regional equipment manager. - Standard work week fluctuates between 50-60 hour weeks. - Less than 1200 hrs per diem is $50 a day ... 1200 - 2400 hrs the per diem is $70 a day ... More than 2400 hrs $85 a day Must Have: - 3+ recent years of mechanic experience on construction equipment including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic - Must currently hold a Class A CDL license along with the ability to obtain a Hazmat endorsement. - Must have own assortment of tools. - Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check along with a Drug Test before starting Join Aerotek Energy Services 74, one of the largest providers of specialized personnel and management services to the commercial nuclear industry, the Department of Energy, the utilities industry, and engineering and consulting firms throughout North America.
