Mechanical Application Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary goal of this position is to design a fully functional downhole heating systems inclusive of heaters, wellhead penetrations, attachment means and terminations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.
- Create design packages (drawings, BOM, technical manuals, etc..)
- Work with the sales team to secure orders.
- Work with the product development team to make product improvements and modifications
- Oversee field installations as required to ensure the operation of the heating systems.
- Determine QA/QC requirements for OFS products. Determine best means to accomplish testing procedures (i.e. purchase of test equipment, subcontract, etc...
- Evaluate current installation processes and determine if we can improve these processes.
- Participate as required on new product developments
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Practical experience with FEA
- Structural analysis background
- Strong understanding of Thermodynamics and heat transfer
- CAD experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be proficient in working with the MS software suite
- BS in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering
- 2-5 years' experience in upstream Oil and Gas operations (downhole completions experience would be a plus)
