Our client, a Multinational organisation has an immediate requirement for a number of Mechanical Design Draftsmen.  Offering healthy basic salaries between $90,000 to $100,000 plus Super this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career.
 
They design and manufacture special purpose machinery, conveyors, and bulk material handling equipment for a number of market leading organisations in the mining and metals industries.  Employing more than 600 worldwide and turning over hundreds of millions this is a fantastic opportunity to take that next step in your career. 
 
Due to rapid company expansion and an abundance of new exciting and innovative projects, they now require a number of draftsmen that have the ability to work on autonomously and as part of a team. 
 

The successful candidate will possess the following: 

·         Previous Material Handling Design is essential
·         Good Mechanical Engineering understanding
·         Good Fabrication and Materials knowledge
·         Excellent 3D Mechanical Design skills
·         Pneumatic and hydraulic machine design
·         3+ Years experience as a designer working in a Drawing office
·         BOM’s
 
 
The successful Design Draftsman’s daily responsibilities will involve:
 
·         3D material handling design
·         Liaising with fabrication teams
·         Design special machinery
·         Create BOM’s
·         Mentor junior college graduates  
·         Products can be made up of hundreds of parts and you need to be versatile to draft the different products
·         Deliver drawings to satisfy quality, accuracy and timing requirements of clients and Senior Engineers
·         Liaise with Quality, Manufacturing Commissioning Engineers
