We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Design Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Design engineer needed for machine mounted cooling components.
- Responsibilities include design and development of cooling components supporting machine New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
- Collaboration with cooling analysts to define and specify the appropriate heat exchanger parameters with respect to machine package constraints and utilization of basic supplier core sizes for maximizing commonality.
- Coordinate all supplier related activities including: creating technical specifications, design FMEAs, DVPRs, validation test and analysis activities.
- Will be responsible for: conducting component design reviews, NPI design reviews, procurement of prove design hardware, NPI issue resolution, cost reduction, and support of APQP activities.
Requirements:
- Pro-E design experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work with diverse personalities.
- Lotus Notes, MS Office Suite -MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- CAT experience desired, but not required.
- Previous (NPI) design and development experience.
- Previous experience with cooling component design and manufacturing processes.
- Strong academic background in Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Mechanics of Materials.
