An experience Mechanical Designer is required to join a heavy transport equipment components manufacturer based in their South Brisbane operation.
Reporting to the Design manager, the you will be required to assist Workshop managers and staff with accurate and timely preparation of workshop drawings and provide technical support.
The main responsibilities include
- Production of accurate drawings of parts and assemblies.
- Utilising measuring equipment, inspection reports and parts breakdowns
- Complete detailed sketches of parts and components for processing into CAD files
- Offer support to workshop, estimating and sales staff, supervisors and managers with trouble shooting problem work.
- Maximising production efficiency through teamwork, Innovation and lean Manufacturing principles.
The right candidate will possess the following
- Trade or Engineering qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Solidworks
- Experience in a similar role in Mining or Heavy Engineering (preferred)
- High degree of computer literacy
- Ability to work in a team environment
