Mechanical Director
Our client wishes to appoint a Director for the North West to head up an important region.

Our client has a reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable designs that reinvent the built environment. They regularly deliver keynote talks at prestigious events within the engineering-consulting client community. They employ a wide range of engineering consultants who are encouraged to look beyond the constraints of their own specialist fields.
About the Role:
Director title within a management team of four other non-statutory Directors reporting directly to the board;
Business development and growing the existing client base;
Increasing existing turnover with a view to growing the team to match the committed workload through targeting major-value projects;
Management of the existing ME team overseeing their personal and professional development;
Monthly reporting to the Managing Director on team invoicing, work-winning financial performance and committed workload;
Client liaisons including fee bids, contract negotiations, invoicing and resolution of complaints/disputes;
Maintaining existing high quality of design, information delivery and submission/marketing material.
About the Candidate:
Mechanically bias design professional;
Ideally chartered, with ability to lead and manage a team of multi-discipline engineers.
Understanding and ability to present/educate clients on low carbon design strategies,
Section 6/Part L requirements, BREEAM and SBEM compliance within the wider ME design arena;
Confident at presenting and able to articulate cross-discipline engineering approaches within
ME and CS where multi-discipline appointments occur;
Track record in managing invoicing, project planning, fee proposals and work generation.
