Mechanical & Electrical Drafters Job in Brisbane 4000, Queensland Australia

There are current positions available for an experienced Electrical Drafter and a Mechanical Designer/Drafter. These positions will report to the Senior Design Engineer.

Electrical Drafter
The ideal candidate will hold a CAD qualification and be experienced in MV substation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- electrical design of schematics and layouts within the MV area
- ability to work autonomously
- updating and modifying drawings for electrical systems plant layouts
- drafting designs of PLC units to be constructed
Key Requirements
- experience in the detailed design of schematics diagrams, panel arrangements and connection details for control panels
- a minimum 2 years substation drafting experience within Australia
- CAD qualifications
- ability to offer advice within the concept phase
- knowledge of Australian design standards

Mechanical Designer/Drafter
Key Responsibilities
- assisting with projects
- equipment layouts
- MV and LV switchgear drawings and layouts
Key Requirements
- tertiary or TAFE level qualifications
- experienced in the use of AutoCAD and Inventor 3D
- knowledge of machining, welding and fabrication
- knowledge of Australian Standards
- familiarity with the transmission and distribution industries
- ideally 5+ years experience within Australia
