Responsibilities - Primary design responsibility for various mechanical systems and DCD deliverables. - Close coordination and communication with NSSS supplier will be required. - Coordination and interface with other discipline engineers. Other responsibilities may include: - Power plant systems design, line sizing, pipe specifications, controls design related to combustion turbines, steam turbines, gas/oil/solid fuel boilers, IGCC, and combined heat and power plants - Major equipment to piping specialties and control valves sizing and selection, and specifications - Piping flexibility analysis, material handling experience, water treatment experience, heat and water balance design and water hammer experience are pluses - Equipment contract administration, vendor drawing review and utilization of vendor information for balance of plant interfaces Qualifications - 7 years experience in mechanical system engineering on commercial nuclear power plant projects. - Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear. - PE preferred. - DCD production engineering experience is a plus.
