Immediate need for an ExperiencedcMechanical Engineer, Automotive- Noise, Vibration, Harshness testing Long term contract expected to run till 12/2014. Stanfield, AZ location or Farmington Hills, MI This is a Driving Position that also requires the ability to travel. Looking for someone with automotive experience or with noise, vibration, harshness testing as it relates to vehicles. Responsibilities include: - Benchmarking to establish full vehicle component targets - Creating carrying out test plans through the full vehicle development cycle - Developing validating countermeasures for issues identified during test activities. - Expected to Plan, schedule carry out tests designed to confirm vehicle performance, confirm countermeasure effectiveness through engineering analysis and testing as well as conducting competitive vehicle evaluations. - Must be able to negotiate the necessary changes with other Performance Departments, Design, Program Management, and Product Planning. - Document all activities through test reports and meeting minutes. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent - 2 or more years of experience directly working with Noise/vibration/harshness/wind noise - Experience in Data acquisition and signal processing, and test plan layout, desireable - Excellent driving record - Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and basic Access - Matlab and visual basic, desirable - Ability to travel to North America and Mexico Manufacturing Plants, and Japan. (approximately 10%) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to get up to speed quickly and to work overtime as needed. - Previous experience working with vibration or noise control preferred.
