About the Job
Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. New Madrid Power Plant Mechanical Engineer This position will be responsible for project management engineering work involving plant improvements. Project work will include management of contracts and third-party engineering, feasibility studies, economic analysis and justification, engineering for plant system retrofits, specification development and review, engineering and vendor drawing reviews, plant design/component reviews, and permitting support. Necessary skills include coordination of complex projects and activities, the ability to work independently and within teams, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and demonstrate strong attention to detail and be able to effectively manage multiple talks and/or projects to meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and very strong interpersonal skills are essential. Utility experience is a plus.
