This position will serve in our client's business unit that specializes in the design and manufacturing of power and control products requiring custom OEM solutions for high reliability in harsh environments. Must have a minimum four-year degree in mechanical engineering and five years minimum experience working directly with electronic components and associated housings and hardware. E nclosures for electronics . Sealed Enclosures IP65 - IP6k9k High vibration environments Thermal Analysis Natural and Forced air convection Water cooled cold plates FEA COMSOL, COSMOS, ANSYS, FloTHERM Thermal, Structural (static and dynamic) Key design skills to include: CAD modeling software experience such as SolidWorks or Pro-E. Thermal analysis using classic engineering calculations of convection and conduction heat transfer. Thermal analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) software. Stress/Strain analysis using classic engineering calculations. . Experience working with PCB layout personnel to optimize design for manufacturability and mechanical robustness. Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment working with Document Control, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance departments. Experience trouble-shooting manufacturing and design problems in production. Nice to have skills/experience not required Hands-on experience in designing and packaging power electronics for on-vehicle applications and have an understanding of the environmental standards and requirements Experience designing rugged applications. Experience with inverter packaging design Familiar with manufacturing process of PCB assemblies designing enclosures for power electronics ideally for on-vehicle applications Other: This is a direct hire with our client Adecco Engineering and/or our clients are not responsible for training.
