General Job Objective
Manitowoc Beverage Systems, a member of the Manitowoc Foodservice family of companies, global leaders in commercial foodservice equipment, is seeking innovative Mechanical Engineer. Key responsibilities of this position: design, development and testing of beverage dispensing equipment and accessories; CAD, engineering calculations, concept development, application engineering, and project management. Reporting directly to the Manager Engineering, this position is based in Sellersburg, IN.
Essential Job Functions
- Design and Solid Modeling of Beverage Dispensing Equipment and Parts.
- Bill of Material Creation and Maintenance with Oracle Business System.
- Write Lab Test Requests and occasionally perform Lab Tests.
- Work closely with other business cross functions in order to speed launch timing.
- Apply structured problem solving techniques to eliminate product non-conformance.
- Support resolution of major production and customer issues.
Job Requirements/Working Conditions
- Bachelors degree in Engineering and a minimum of five years of related experience required.
- Familiar with Six Sigma principles.
- Green Belt from accredited source preferred.
- Experience with electromechanical components (motors, solenoids, mechanisms, etc).
- Must be proficient in Solid Modeling - Pro E Preferred.
- Some project management experience a plus.
- Normal office environment with time spent in the Engineering lab and on the production floor.
- 25% overnight travel required.
