Role: Contribute to Systems Engineering development on one or more aircraft systems for A5 aircraft, as indicated below.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Personality: Highly intelligent, confident, team player, analytical, problem solver, instinctual, decisive, competitive, energetic, passionate, entrepreneurially minded (more startup, less big aerospace / corporate).
Reports to: Systems Engineering Lead
Responsibilities:
- Three (3) positions open across the following 5 disciplines:
- Landing Gear
- Flight Controls
- Wingfold
- Canopy
- Propulsion Integration
- Mechanism design
- Design of mechanical components and assemblies from concept or preliminary design through detail design and design for manufacturing (DFM)
- Design using Creo (Pro/E) CAD software for solid modeling
- Preliminary sizing for stress through hand calcs or Pro/Mechanica FEA
Requirements:
- 5-20 years in designing light aircraft components/systems
- 3 years Creo (Pro/E) experience
- 3 years aircraft system design experience
- Design of any of the following systems for light aircraft:
- Landing Gear
- Flight Controls
- Wingfold
- Canopy
- Propulsion Integration
Education:
BS or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
