Position Summary
Daily duties will involve overseeing the installation, operation and repair of industrial manufacturing equipment. Will be tasked to implement a bill of materials structure for the Tools Accessories business. As the resident Mechanical/Process Engineer, you will oversee all engineering projects at our facility.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
Recommend design modifications to existing products (value engineering).
Demonstrates sound judgment, problem solving and decision making, maximizing the use of internal and external resources and effectively communicates outcomes.
Identify root causes and develop corrective actions on equipment, infrastructure and facilities.
Develop and implement solutions for process improvements.
Will oversee process design projects and make sure the projects are completed on time.
Design new processes, with the emphasis on improving the present manufacturing or production processes to boost productivity, quality, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Education and Experience Required
• Mechanical or Process Engineering degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Auto CAD experience.
• Agricultural or horticultural experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Experience with MRP and ERP systems.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft applications.
• Assertive, persistent and effective in obtaining cooperation and support needed to establish priorities and objectives, is able to manage conflict effectively.
