Widely regarded as being an employer of choice, this major coal producer is now recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to support maintenance and capital projects. This position looks after vital construction and maintenance projects on site ranging anywhere from $50,000 to $50M in capital value.
To be considered for this role, you’ll be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering and will have significant experience in open cut mining or a comparable heavy industry sector as well as;
- Experience managing the safety requirements and workload for contractors on site
- Experience assessing equipment failures using Root Cause Analysis or similar methodology
- Experience contributing to continuous improvement projects
- Fixed plant reliability studies
- Demonstrated communication, analysis and reporting skills
- Exposure to project management tools such as SAP and MS Project
- Bulk materials handling experience will be very highly regarded as will exposure to structural design
