We have an immediate need for a MECHANICAL ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION
CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT - 6+ MONTHS

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Working knowledge of 6 Sigma DMAIC and/or critical chain project management - Contractor will provide technical support during the Define, Measure, Analyze, Implementation, and control phases. This requires the ability to produce and deliver solutions in accordance with project schedules.
• Contractor will generate turbine component detail designs in Pro-E WildFire F4.0 / Windchill 9.0 and bill of materials in SAP.
• Contractor will execute the formal review, approval, and release of drawings, change notices, and bill of materials to manufacturing production in accordance with Clipper design review procedures.
• Contractor will participate in Design Review PowerPoint presentations as required by Program Managers.
• Contractor will support vendors, manufacturing engineers, quality assurance personnel, supply chain reps, and field services personnel to answer technical questions and resolve open issues.
• Contractor will generate specifications of turbine components.
• Contractor will provide engineering support on hardware non-conformances.
• Contractor will support Root Cause Analysis for issues that occur in the field.
• Contractor will submit weekly project status reports to Mechanical Engineering Manager.
• Contractor will need knowledge of ISO, ASME, ANSI Y14.5M-1994 drawing and GDT tolerancing standards.
• Contractor will need knowledge and experience in injection molded parts.

Projects (Deliverables):
Projects will include, but won’t be limited to: design, analysis and troubleshooting of gearing, gearboxes, shafting, bearings, servo motors, hydraulic control systems, bolted joints, castings and forgings.
