Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform tests and dimensional measurements and document results for Engineers.
- Assist Engineers with thermal and vibration development tests and perform modifications on audio amplifiers as directed.
- Take bench-top and/or vehicle temperature measurements using audio equipment and data-loggers as directed by Engineer.
- Perform amplifier testing for function, audio parameters and special data logging in thermal chambers.
Basic Qualifications:
- 1. Education: College Sophomore Standing BSME minimum. Mechanics of Materials and Fundamentals of Heat Transfer course work (or equivalents).
- 1. Experience: Prefer experience with thermocouple temperature measurements, dimensional measurement techniques. Drafting/CAD fundamentals (ProE). Knowledge of Technical Drafting standard and Tolerance Standard ANSI/ASME Y14.5. Ability to read and understand simple part and assembly drawings.
- 1. Certifications: Relevant course work including laboratory experience (Stress Strain and Thermal).
Physical Demands:
- MANUAL DEXTERITY
- o Work with hand tools and dimensional measurement equipment. Be able to assemble prototype housing parts.
- PHYSICAL EFFORT
- o Should be able to move equipment racks between workbenches.
- WORKING CONDITIONS
- o Ordinary office and engineering lab environment.
- HAZARDS
- o Handling hot or cold products during testing.
