MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR Job in Boston, Massachusetts US

I’m working with a leading General Contractor with a long history of success who needs to add a Mechanical Estimator to the Team.  The position is based just west of the Boston, MA area and is a great opportunity for the right candidate.  This client provides general contracting services and unique design/build contracting to both private and public companies across the nation as well as internationally.  The client self-performs the majority of its work, which includes pre-con, project management, planning, and scheduling.  They do their own electrical and mechanical work as well as steel, concrete, and excavation.

To be qualified and eligible for an interview for this opportunity, you’ll need to be proficient in take-offs of all mechanical elements including plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC.  You’ll need to be able to accurately estimate the scope of projects, price out self-performed work, and work with subs and vendors.  As required, you’ll be involved in change orders and buy outs.  We’re looking for a candidate who has a solid understanding and background in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection.  Experience with Design Build is paramount.  Excel, Word, Timberline, and a Degree are nice to have but not mandatory.  Work on a Government project is common, so getting a security clearance will be required.

So what’s in it for you why should you send me your resume asap?  For starters….a good salary in the $80k range for the right qualified candidate is available, as well as a very nice benefits package which includes major medical, retirement, and more.  You’ll be working with a company that has a solid reputation and a long history of success.

So get your resume to me quickly because we’ll fill this position soon.  Not a lot of contractors are hiring right now, but this one is.  Get on board with a great team.  Sorry, relocation is not available.  If you’re in the New England area, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, or ME and you’ve got documented commercial, industrial, or institutional mechanical contractor experience, email your resume to garth@mriraleigh.com .  If you’re qualified we’ll talk.  If you’re not, I won’t waste your time.  Thanks!
