Mechanical Inspector Job in Kingston K7M 6R2, Ontario Canada
This contract opportunity based out of Kingston is for 3-4 months, but can go longer
1. Understands and complies with industry workmanship standards such as crimping, torque, soldering wires, etc.
2. Performs incoming inspection and testing to ensure parts comply with specifications and current configuration.
3. Interfaces with internal customers on a regular basis.
4. Verification of installation through the review of drawing and document.
5. Performs First Article Inspection (FAI) on equipment from various product lines, as required.
6. Ability to use measuring equipment
7. Or other duties as assigned by the Quality Supervisor
Day to day tasks:
1.
Perform incoming inspection on components as they come into the facility and complete all paper work 20%
2.
Perform in process inspections on mechanical assemblies and issue reports.40%
3.
Write Non Conformance Reports as they are found or identified through inspection 10%
4.
Write Snags as they are found during assembly 20%
5.
Witness tests 10%
Qualifications
Education required:
Post Secondary Engineering diploma in a mechanical technical field
Number of years of experience required
minimum 2 years
