An opportunity has now arisen for a Mechanical Product Development Engineer to join their team.
As a Mechanical Product Development Engineer, you will develop new products, from concept to the commercial product. You will also develop existing products, with the aim of maintaining and improving market share, reducing costs, and widening their scope of applications.
In addition to preparing a plan and budget for proposed product developments, you will oversee the construction of prototypes and evaluate these, including supporting documentation.
Your duties will include:
- Preparing technical documentation, including drawings, diagrams and descriptions
- Obtaining relevant certification to show compliance with applicable standards
- Preparing the production file for the new product
- Providing training to customers, project engineering, and production
To be considered for this position, you must have
- Proven mechanical engineering experience
- Extensive product development experience
- A mechanical engineering degree
Additionally, as a Mechanical Product Development Engineer, you must have a strong attention to detail, a proactive approach and excellent communication skills.
