Calling all mechanical engineers! Do you have experience of rotating machines and good 2D or 3D CAD skills? Looking for your next step up? If so, our client, a manufacturer of rotating equipment, is looking for a Mechanical / Project Design Engineer to join their team.
Joining an established company, as a Mechanical / Project Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing mechanical design and development for new and current valve projects and orders to an agreed criteria, quality and timescale. You'll also co-ordinate and control associated projects.
In this key position, your role will comprise design and detailing and providing cross-functional support, whilst ensuring an acceptable level of health safety.
Some of your duties will include:
- Investigating assigned problems and projects and providing solutions
- Following designs through manufacture to product release
- Formulating the necessary criteria to enable performance testing
- Providing detailed drawings and appropriately assisting with process and purchase technicalities
Interested? To be considered for this role, you must have mechanical engineering experience, preferably with rotating machines. You must also have strong awareness of IT products and competency using 3D CAD.
The ideal Mechanical / Project Design Engineer will have experience of using AutoDesk Inventor and 2D AutoCAD, along with sound problem solving abilities and creative, cost conscious approach.
