Major and established coal miner is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for shutdown work in their open cut operation in central Queensland.
With production hitting record highs and demand for their products increasing, this miner is ramping up and requires additional resources to cope with the demand.
Working within the maintenance division, you will be responsible for maximising and improving performance of dragline shutdowns and your duties will include:
- Managing all external contractors.
- Assisting in managing the budgets and expenditure.
- Supporting and mentoring the shutdown team.
- Promoting health and safety across the operation.
Candidate requirements:
- Degree or trade background - Mechanical.
- Proven track record in dragline and mobile plant operations.
- Ability to lead and manage major contractors.
- Exposure to financials.
- Ability to promote health and safety within the operation.
