The Design Group Mining Division in collaboration with our client, a Global Leader in the Energy sector, is looking for an experienced Mechanical Specialist for their Mining operation. Reporting to the Maintenance Plant Superintendent, you will be responsible for the following activities:
Key Responsibilities:
· Strong focus on safety and supporting safety initiatives.
· Provide significant technical expertise in the piping field.
· Provide expertise for development and implementation of reliability and maintenance programs for piping systems.
· Ensure predictive and preventative maintenance piping program effectiveness.
· Provide expertise and troubleshooting experience to ensure piping system availability.
· Active participation and support to Plant Maintenance Reliability Group
· Actively support operations, maintenance and Ops Tech initiatives
Key Qualifications:
· Journeyman Pipefitter
· Proficient in Microsoft office applications
· Strong analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills
· Effective oral and written communication skills
· Minimum 5 year maintenance or reliability experience with valves, pipe lines and safety valves
