Position Description
Level4/5 - This opening is for a Service Engineering Lead Dynamics Engineer on the CH-47 Chinook program. Leads and provides technical quality review of the development, documentation and repair of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design. May direct the development, documentation and repair of large scale, complex mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design. Leads the development, maintenance or modification of dynamic system components'' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation. Performs and documents analyses, and may develop new design/analysis processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development and repair effort on CH-47D Dynamic Systems. Supports or leads investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. Manages supplier development, test, production and repair activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals. Prioritizes, delegates and tracks performance and documentation of analyses of CH-47 Dynamic Systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design. May serve as technical consultant for disposition, corrective actions and coordination with cross-functional groups to identify/implement solutions and drive strategic improvements relative to production or repair processes. Supports proposal preparation and new business development efforts. Trains, coaches and mentors others. Works under minimal and/or consultative direction.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 5 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
