Mechanical Technician II Job in Mossville, Illinois Us
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
2. 3 years experience, or 2 years trade school, supporting day-to-day operations as a Maintenance Technician troubleshooting and repairing mechanical components in an industrial setting.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
1. Trade School certification in an area of skilled trades such as HVAC/R, Industrial Electrical, Industrial Mechanical, etc.
2. Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing supply and exhaust fans.
3. Experience troubleshooting and repairing pumps, gearboxes, compressors, etc.
4. Experience troubleshooting and repairing Cranes and Hoists.
5. Experience in welding using MIG, TIG, and arc welders.
Physical Requirements
*Have the ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs.
*Have the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
*Have the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
*Have the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.
*Have the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.
*Have the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
*Have the ability to walk extensively through out the plant for shift.
*Have the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Special Requirements:
*Coping with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
This position may require a valid Driver's License.
All positions with URS will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location.
All positions with URS may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.

Job Description:
URS has a Mechanical Technician II (3rd shift) position available at our client's location in Mossville, Illinois!
This position will primarily troubleshoot and repair all areas of mechanical repair including, but not limited to, supply and exhaust fans, compressors, cranes and hoists, pumps motors, gearboxes and power transfer components, etc. Systems experience should include areas such as: plumbing, steam and hot water boilers, air handling units, pumps, compressors, air dryers, and exhaust systems.
