My client is a very well-established automotive brand that operates across various sectors on a global scale. The heavy vehicles division plays a major part in the company's success, and is valued at $40million a year in Victorian market.

With growth expected to continue, an opportunity for a technical Business Development Executive now exists in the business.

Selling into any business that uses transport, this role will entail looking after a variety of clients, from walk-in customers to clients that utilise large fleets. Your initial focus revolve around targeting local businesses in the North/West region that use heavy vehicles for transport, and your portfolio will grow from there. Extensive training will be provided so you are fully equipped on product knowledge, and it will also provide you with an opportunity to tailor your sales skills to the business.

To be successful, the biggest asset you'll bring to the role is your attitude. You will not be afraid to cold call, love to generate new business or grow existing accounts be receptive to leadership advice from the experienced sales team. It will be advantageous if you have previous sales experience from within the automotive industry, preferably within the heavy vehicles sector. Either way, you will have a proven track record in sales.

A competitive base salary is on offer, in addition to an aggressive commission scheme that will see you earning a six-figure salary. The position also includes an above-average fully maintained vehicle. Importantly, it's also a step into a business that can offer a long-term career moving forward.
