SRI is looking for an experienced Mechanical/Structural Engineer to join our team located in the SE Houston area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Mechanical design of lift and pipe handling equipment, hoists, drive trains, mechanical/structural design and check of offshore heavy equipment and structures
- Design calculations and analysis, layout drawings of equipment
- Review and check of designers drawings, ECN's and B/M's
- Re-design/layout of existing equipment
- Develop calculation-work related to weldments, machining and assemblies
- Equipment is built per API, AISC, ABS, DNV codes
- Familiar with fasteners metric and english
Must also have knowledge of the following:
- Solidworks 2010, Solid Edge or Inventor
- AutoCad
- STAAD or SACS
- ANSYS
