Position Summary The Medicare Product Development Advisor will be responsible for implementing new products and solutions to increase revenue and profitability opportunities and increase retention for PBM Employer Group and Health Plan clients in the Medicare drug plan segment. The Product Innovation Advisor will develop business cases to support and justify investments, then will work cross-functionally throughout CVS Caremark to define, develop and implement programs. Education BS/BA Degree. MBA desirable. Experience * Minimum 9 years in healthcare related product development/management positions. * Strong experience developing and launching new products and client solutions. * Significant experience with direct to consumer marketing strategies (mail and phone). * Strong knowledge of Individual Prescription Drug Plans and Medicare products. Medicare product/marketing experience preferred. * Experience working within CMS Marketing Guidelines. * Solid knowledge of Pharmacy Benefit Management Industry. Qualifications * Conduct analysis and identify opportunities to introduce new products and services into the Medicare drug plan segment. Evaluate CVS Caremark portfolio of assets (Retail, Minute Clinic, specialty, Pharmacy Advisor, etc.) to understand best way to leverage corporate products and service in Medicare segment. * Develop and enhance strategies for direct marketing campaigns to increase mail order fill rates for Medicare/senior populations. This will include developing and executing outbound mail and phone programs, creative development, segmentation, fulfillment, analysis and budgeting. * Develop processes, product structure and communication to transition members from mandatory mail products (Employer Retiree Drug Subsidy products) to products with no mandatory mail (Employer Group Waiver Plan, Individual PDPs) while retaining mail adherence rates. * Work with Operations and Compliance/Regulatory departments to develop Star Improvement and Compliance products to offer to customer base. * Evaluate vendor and internal solutions to offer new products, services and enhancements to existing product offerings. * Work internally with cross-functional teams (Operations, IT, Underwriting, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Sales Ops, Marketing) to implement products. Work as Subject Matter Expert defining product details and configuration. Oversee internal operational and IT development to ensure high quality, compliant, product configuration and execution. * Develop internal and external training materials and tools to drive product adoption, product launches and client retention. Develop client facing materials to drive product understanding and adoption. * Gain a deeper understanding of how to best communicate with seniors and motivate behavioral change and action. Knowledge and Skills: * Ability to understand client needs and work with technical resources to coordinate efforts to deliver final product solution. * Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with an ability to develop plans/approaches with no existing roadmap. * Experience developing and communicating strategic and tactical recommendations grounded in facts and logic. * Must be able to develop and maintain successful relationship at all levels of the organization. * Strong written and oral communications. * Extensive knowledge of PBM and/or total healthcare market. * Strong project/program management skills with the capability to deliver projects on time with little management involvement. * Self-motivated/strong leadership skills. * Ability to marshal resources outside of the immediate team to accomplish goals. Demonstrated success working in highly matrixed organization.
