Media Manager
Oversee the planning, buying and analysis of online and offline media, including radio, tv, newspaper, and direct mail. Maintain accurate records of media/market performance to analyze and identify trends among markets, creative, and media. Serve as liaison between company and media vendors to negotiate and execute the purchase of advertising space. Identify new vendors and opportunities for customer acquisition.
- Develop media plans by market based on historical performance, creative, and time of year.
- Researches, analyzes, and monitors media performance by market to capitalize on market opportunities.
- Determines and identifies media agencies, and negotiates contract terms and conditions for major services.
- Demonstrate and encourage a cooperative and congenial working relationship, within and outside the company.
- Develop, coordinate and implement media buying to support the goals and objectives of the brands.
- Monitors and ensures that media is purchased using best practices.
- Monitors competitor advertising and stay abreast of new trends in media.
- Create and maintain detailed reports outlining performance of each media by market and perform related duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with the brand manager(s) to affect student acquisition efficiently and achieve effective/budgeted cost per registration across all brands.
- Oversees development and production of promotional and collateral materials by vendors.
- Serves as liaison with outside agencies on ongoing promotional campaigns.
Experience/ Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in a marketing related field.
- 2-3 years’ experience in a marketing managerial capacity.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Must be extremely proficient in Excel.
- Knowledge of media buying, current advertising, and marketing principles, practices and techniques.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing; establish cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties.
