Mediaplanet was founded in Stockholm in 2002 by two Swedish entrepreneurs, Richard Båge and Rustan Panda. Today we operate from 27 offices in 15 countries, on two continents boasting around 300 employees of more than 20 nationalities and Mediaplanet Publishing House is growing by the minute. We are looking for educated, well rounded, enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and ambitious candidates.
As part of our team, you'll:
• Be responsible for an entire special section on a specific industry/issue/topic.
• We are partnered with the world's largest newspapers and in Vancouver we use the Vancouver Sun, The Province and The Calgary Herald as distribution partners.
• Manage your own leads and drive the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
• Through idea generation and talking to the industry, you will make a high volume (40+) of outbound calls to build relationships and attract advertisers.
This is not an AD sales job! We perform concept selling and we are looking for intelligent, savvy, business focused people.
• You are responsible for coordinating our pool of journalists and graphic design team in creating a special section. Currently, some examples we are publishing for Q4 of 2011 are; Natural Gas, B.C. Construction, Alberta Transportation, Travel B.C., The Future of Labour, Waste Management and Mining.
• Make national and provincial business clients more successful with the most effective print advertising opportunities available. This company is successful in every market we're in, and we are experiencing fast and exciting results in Vancouver.
