Busy dermatology group seeking a full-time Medical Assistant, who must want to assist with surgical procedures
To qualify you must:
- Have a minimum of one year experience as a Medical Assistant
- Be a team player and work well with others
- Be dependable, punctual, and professional
- Be organized, efficient, and ethical
- Be knowledgeable in medical terminology and computer confident
- Have the ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to
· Room patients
- Obtain patients’ chief complaints and medical histories
- Assist our physicians during patient examination
- Assist with surgical procedures
- Suture removal and medical dressings
- Complete paperwork for laboratories
- Notify patients with pathology and/or laboratory results
- Educate patients
- Schedule appointments
- Autoclave
- Stock exam/surgical rooms
- All other standard medical assistant duties
