Patient Coordinator

Dynamic plastic surgeon in a solo practice is seeking a self motivated, customer focused individual to serve as a patient coordinator. This person will provide key support for the physician and patients.

A background in plastic surgery is strongly preferred but not required. Experience in sales, nursing, and/or cosmetic dermatology is also a plus. Strong organizational and time management skills are a must.

Responsibilities for this position are varied and include (but are not limited to) the following:

-Develop relationships with patients, reviewing near and long term treatment options

-Consult with patients before and after surgery to confirm surgical pre-certification, discuss concerns, and answer any questions

-For qualified RN or NP: opportunity to perform non-surgical injectible cosmetic treatments under physician observation and management

-Expand cosmetic sales and service, organize and perform company marketing strategy

-Confirm patient appointments and evaluate potential needs and problems

-Schedule patients for surgery

-Organize and manage patient information and charts; maintaining confidentiality per HIPPA standards

-Manage patient financials, including presenting quotes, closing sales, credit management, etc.

-Organize physician clinic and surgical schedule

-Assist with credentialing and licensure

-Maintain relationship with external billing company

-Maintain cosmetic products and supplies and participate in sales
