We are currently searching for a Program Chair for our Medical Assisting Program. As Program Chair, you will provide your students with the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain entry-level employment in the medical field. In our collaborative environment, you will prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and work habits for a successful career. You will work in a modern facility that includes spacious classrooms, student and staff lounges, business offices, and a reference library.

What You Will Do:
• Assist in implementing and continuously improving the student retention program.
• Continuously evaluate and update programs to ensure they meet or exceed current market and employer demands.
• Hire and train instructors and support staff.
• Participate and support the professional growth and development goals of faculty and staff.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of department personnel.
• Monitor and evaluate satisfactory academic progress of all the students in your program.
• Assist with scheduling of courses, students, faculty, and facilities and teach courses when necessary.

Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of clinical Medical Assisting experience required, 10+ years preferred.
• Prior teaching experience.
• Must be highly organized, detail oriented and hard working.
• Must be able to manage a faculty team, a student population, and competing priorities.
• Excellent persuasive communication skills and mastery of the English language.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with students, parents, staff and faculty.
• Consistently display the highest levels of integrity.
• Exceptional social and customer focused skills.
