Join the premier cancer treatment center on the East Coast - Virginia Cancer Institute is looking for a self-motivated, Medical Biller/Certified Professional Coder to join our team. Virginia Cancer Institute is a well respected, growing medical practice in the Richmond, Virginia market and is seeking a Medical Biller/Certified Professional Coder for our multiple-location Practice.
The position is responsible for accurately performing medical billing; posting payments/charges, insurance follow-up; interpreting EOB statements, electronic claim submission, CPT and ICD-9 coding, working aging reports, insurance claim follow up, working insurance claim denials and submitting timely appeals.
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a medical billing, business office and/or a customer service environment dealing with both internal and external customers; have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels; have excellent organizational skills including being detail oriented; demonstrate a reliable work ethic, a positive attitude, a strong desire to achieve and exhibit the willingness to learn. The candidate must also be able to adapt to a growing and changing environment and promote a high standard of quality with a focus on results.
