Job Description: Requires: RHIA or RHIT, CCS, CCSP certification Qualifications: Requires: a minimum of an Associates degree in Health Information, prefer a Bachelors degree in Health Services; or the equivalent combination of training and responsible experience. Requires: at least 5 years Coding experience, 3 years in management experience in Coding and HIM processes and 6 years of responsibility in all areas of Coding. Large Health Care Corporation, including Medical Center,Health care Center,psychiatric center, 12 family health centers and four health plans is looking for experienced level Coding Manager. Coding Manager oversees all ongoing inpatient and outpatient coding activities and all ED data entry processes. WIll establish and maintain effective relationships and that the ability to interact with all levels of staff as well as physicians, office staff, third party vendors, attorney's and patients. Performs the Management functions for the coding and charge entry staff to include monitoring the scheduling of employees and assignment workload, monitoring the productivity and quality of the coders output of coded charts to ensure 4 day completion goals. Maintains payroll, employee files, completes payroll and attendance calendars, counseling, hiring, terminating and improving staff performance. Investigates methods of improving existing processes including updating Health Information Management coding and charge entry policies, procedures and job descriptions.
